Chiang Mai DSM and ICD Personality disorder Questionnaire (Chiang Mai DIP-Q)
Chiang Mai DIP-Q, developed by Prof. Nahathai Wongpakaran and Prof. Tinakon Wongpakaran in 2003, is a true/false question format, asking the respondent about their characters. It consists of 230 questions addressing on feelings, thoughts, and interpersonal behaviors, reflecting personality based on DSM and ICD.
In addition to the questions about personality, functions impacted by personality are also evaluated.
As a self-report, Chiang Mai DIP-Q is not a diagnostic tool, but a screener for personality trait. Confirmation for personality disorder should be carried out by clinical interview of the specialist.
Chiang Mai DIP-Q was preliminarily tested in 1200 university students, 51.2% male, average age was 22.8 (SD1.7), the internal consistency exhibited by Cronbach’s alphas are shown below.
