Strength-Based Therapy (SBT)
Is a model of psychotherapy developed by Tinakon and Nahathai Wongpakaran. It is a model that looks at individual's psychopathology through iceberg model where presenting symptoms are at the tips of the iceberg whilst the unconscious mental functioning responsible for are at the bottom of the iceberg. The model is integrated with the concept of the Great Human Strength (GHS) – an Eastern philosophy of ten inner human strengths where mindfulness is one of those.
